Machu Picchu was built around 1450, at the height of Inca Empire. Chichen Itza is a large pre-columbian archeological site built by the Mayan civilization located in the northern centre of the Yucatan Peninsula, in the Municipality of Tinum, Yucatan State, present day Mexico.
